Presidents Message May/June 2019
20 May
Hello IOP residents. To start, I hope all the mothers in the IOP had a great Mother’s Day. School is near the end and things are heating up. Be on the lookout for kids and wildlife running around and watch you speed through the neighborhood.
There are a few upcoming events in the park. Be on the lookout for more information inside the newsletter, on the IOP Facebook page, and you can ask any of the board members for more details. The two main events are the Father’s Day Fishing Tournament and 4th of July. If you aren’t already a member, no is a great time to join and take advantage of what’s right under your nose. Dana’s legendary fish fry will follow the fishing tournament weigh-in, and the neighborhood’s best dishes accompanied by Shawn’s sensational grilling for the 4th of July celebration. If you would like to make the fireworks last a little longer, please feel free to contact myself or any of the board members to donate additional funds.
We have also recognized the 1st Friday of every month as an IOP sanctioned event from 6-10pm. It can be described as an IOP Happy Hour. It is a chance to get together and unwind after a long work week. Because it is an IOP sanctioned event, it will be open to members/guest only-but we will sporadically open it up to EVERYONE in the hood (like June 7th), so please read the newsletter for all the details. Feel free to come down with your beverages, and snacks and socialize or play games with your neighbors.
During ALL park events, please obey the posted parking signs in the park. There will be new signs posted over the next couple months to aide with clarity. This includes new trailer parking designation.
